Semi-Annual Call for Volunteers (October Terms)

Thank you for your willingness to serve on an HRS committee! Your participation is vital to our mission, and we appreciate your commitment to our community. Important Information:

• Deadline: The call for volunteers for committees beginning October 1 closes on June 25 at 11:59 pm ET.
• Committee Openings: Openings vary each year and are limited. 
• Selection Criteria: Appointments are based on the needs of the position, as well as member expertise, competencies, and skills.
• Equity and Diversity: Appointments are distributed as equitably and diversely as possible.
• Multiple Committee Assignments: Members are not assigned to multiple committees unless a committee charge requires members in certain positions or with specific expertise. 
• Responsibilities and Expectations: These vary by committee. 
• Disclosure Requirements: Disclosures must be current to be considered for a committee assignment.
• Eligibility: One must be an eligible member and maintain their HRS membership to serve on a committee.
• Openings for three additional committees (Finance, Health Policy and Regulatory Affairs, and Heart Rhythm Program), which begin in May 2026, will be announced in the winter.
