Semi-Annual Call for Volunteers

Thank you for your willingness to serve on an HRS committee! Your participation is vital to our mission, and we appreciate your commitment to our community. Important Information:

• Deadline: The call for volunteers closes on February 12 at 11:59 pm ET.
• Committee Openings: Openings vary each year and are limited. Currently, only the three committees that begin in May are accepting applications.
• Selection Criteria: Appointments are based on the needs of the position, as well as member expertise, competencies, and skills.
• Equity and Diversity: Appointments are distributed as equitably and diversely as possible.
• Multiple Committee Assignments: Members are not assigned to multiple committees unless a committee charge requires members in certain positions or with specific expertise. 
• Responsibilities and Expectations: These vary by committee. 
• Disclosure Requirements: Disclosures must be current to be considered for a committee assignment.
• Eligibility: One must be an eligible member and maintain their HRS membership to serve on a committee.
• Openings for the majority of HRS committees and councils, which begin in October, listed here, will be announced in the spring.
